Phillies Take World Series To Game Six

Seeking the win which would have secured their 27th title, the New York Yankees found themselves trailing 6-1 by the end of the third inning.
That became 8-2 at the bottom of the seventh, and despite a Yankees fightback the visitors had left themselves with too much work to do.
Chase Utley's two home runs for the Phillies means he now has five in the series, equalling the World Series record, and the Yankees have plenty of work still to do after having their lead slashed to 3-2.
The Yankees went ahead but Utley's three-run homer put the Phillies in front after the first inning, and he smashed the ball into the stands again in the seventh to stretch the lead to 7-2.
Scores from Johnny Damon, Mark Teixeira, Alex Rodriguez and Jorge Posada meant it was tense at the finish, before the Citizens Bank Stadium erupted as the Phillies stepped up the defence of their title.
The teams meet again next on Wednesday, in New York.
