Students at a Sussex school which closed because of a swine flu outbreak are heading back to their boarding rooms later.

 

Christ's Hospital School near Horsham closed just over a week ago when a hundred pupils and staff fell ill with the virus.

A woman from Burgess Hill  has been prosecuted after admitting faking a relationship to claim 2 and a half thousand pounds in benefits.

Antonia King, who's 25 and lives on Freeks Lane, has been sentenced to 50 hours of unpaid community work, and ordered to pay the council's court costs.

The stars of this year's panto at the Hawth have opened County Mall's Christmas Grotto.

Now's the time to look for work in Sussex and Surrey, according to local jobs advisors.

As the latest stats show more young people are losing their jobs, jobcentre plus has told Mercury Fm they had 18 hundred vacancies last month.

They're mostly in retail cos it's coming up to Christmas but, advisors reckon that's ideal for young people looking to get some experience.

The makers of a film about knife crime based in Crawley say it's a positive project celebrating local talent who're making and appearing in it.

RH11, the movie, comes out in January, but it's had some criticism as it's tackling a violent crime.

Bullying over the internet or via text message can be stopped if you tell someone, according to anti-bullying workers in West Sussex.

They say bully's pick on people in this way because it's easier than being nasty face-to-face.
