Remembrance Day in Sussex and Surrey

It’s Remembrance Day today which is a time for us all to pause and remember those who have sacrificed their lives for our country.

People have gathered to remember servicemen and women who lost their lives in conflicts at home and abroad - past and more recently.

The nation fell silent for two minutes at 11am to remember those who've given their lives for the peace and freedom we all enjoy.

Meanwhile, an ex serviceman from Lingfield's preparing to do his bit to help our troops.

Richard Heather injured his spine serving in Northern Ireland and now has to use a wheelchair. But he's aiming to swim a mile for Help the Heroes next month.

He says he's doing it because it hurts seeing other soldier's bodies being flown back home.
