Charity Cards for Good Causes (Community)

Location:St Matthew's Church, Redhill, Surrey

Shoppers in Redhill can buy Christmas cards from more than 24 national and local charities in one place. Cards for Good Causes opens its Redhill shop on Friday, October 30th in St. Matthew’s Church, Station Road. Charities receive at least 75p in every £1 from card sales. The shop is open Monday to Friday 10 am to 4 pm and Saturdays from 10 am to 1 pm until December 17th.

K2 runners workshop (Sport)

K2 Crawley is hosting a two-hour informal session presented by experienced runners and therapists offering hints and tips for anyone interested in starting to run or existing runners looking to enhance their enjoyment and performance. The workshop, taking place at the Freedom Leisure site on Monday 30 November 2009 from 7:00 – 9:00pm, is perfect for anyone who has thought about starting jogging to improve fitness and weight loss, interested in a forthcoming charity run or who just wants to run faster. Topics covered will include running training, injury prevention and treatment, nutrition and running equipment. There will also be an informal Q&A session at the end of the two-hour seminar.
The workshop is being organised by Graham Eaton, Personal Trainer at K2 Crawley and former County Athletics Champion. Graham coaches the highly successful K2 Running Club twice a week.
